tim kennedy is a retired mixed martial artist and currently a soldier in the united states army. kennedy is one of the few fighters to serve in the united states army while also professionally fighting. He joined the Army in 2004 and completed Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Airborne School, Special Forces Assessment and Selection, and the Special Forces Qualification Course. he completed ranger school in 2007 and was assigned to the 7th special forces group. he was also a sniper sniper instructor and the principal combative instructor in the army. kennedy has deployed multiple times in support of operation iraqi freedom and operation enduring freedom. kennedy has earned multiple awards including the bronze star medal from the army.
